Betty Wakely 

Betty was one of the founding members of the Survivor Thrivers in 1999.  She lived in Port Hope all of her life and was very active in the community.  Always busy, always giving back, always the life of the party and always someone that was there when needed.  Her family, friends and the Survivors were a huge part of her life as she was a huge part of ours.  We all wanted to be just like her when we grew up.  Positive, loving and funny.  We miss her in the boat but know that she is there cheering us on.   Here's to our Hero, Betty.
