THE SURVIVOR THRIVERS
GET ACTIVE
The power of exercise in breast cancer survivors
we know that getting exercise is important for breast cancer survivors' continued health. Physical activity can help lessen certain side effects of treatment, such as fatigue and depression and has been shown to reduce the risk of recurrence and improve survival. (www.cancer.org)
lets get moving!
after a year off, we have a lot of work to do in order to be ready to get back in the boat, to paddle and then race.
we all need to get moving!
walk, run, bicycle, golf, swim, kayak, paddle, work out with molly, count your steps, you get the idea.
we want to collectively accumulate 4434.7 km, the distance from cobourg, ontario to vancouver, b.c. by july 1st, canada day.
it starts with getting active!!!
